The Tashkent Botanical Garden, officially named the Botanical Garden named after Academician F. N. Rusanov, is the oldest and largest botanical garden in Central Asia, with origins dating back to the 1920s when the first garden in the city was created in 1922, and its modern 66-hectare site founded in 1950 under academician Dr. Fedor Rusanov's leadership.

Located in the south-eastern part of Tashkent near the Tashkent Zoo, it functions as a separate 65-hectare ecosystem and is managed by the Uzbek Academy of Science's Botanical Institute, specifically the Institute of the Gene Pool of Plants and Animals.
