The Teutonic Castle ruins in Toruń, Poland, represent one of the earliest strongholds built by the Teutonic Order in the mid-13th century on the Vistula River, serving as a base for their conquest and Christianization of pagan Prussia after Duke Konrad I of Masovia granted them the Chełmno Land around 1230.

Construction spanned about a century, evolving from a wooden fort into a brick complex with a chapel, commander's residence, and defensive walls that protected the growing medieval town during uprisings like the Prussian revolt of 1242-1249.

Demolished by Toruń's burghers in 1454 amid the Thirteen Years' War against the Order, the surviving remnants including foundation walls and a dansker were excavated and preserved as a UNESCO-linked monument in the 1960s, now offering archaeological insights into Gothic military architecture.
