The Butchart Gardens is a world‑famous floral display garden in Brentwood Bay, on the Saanich Peninsula near Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, occupying about 22 hectares (55 acres) of a larger 53‑hectare estate.

Created starting in 1904 by Jennie Butchart on the site of a former limestone quarry, it features a dramatic Sunken Garden, plus distinct areas such as a Japanese Garden, a Rose Garden, an Italian Garden, and a Mediterranean Garden, all linked by winding paths and filled with seasonally changing plantings and water features.

The site is privately owned and operated by the Butchart family, designated a National Historic Site of Canada, and open to the public year‑round with paid admission, drawing close to a million visitors annually and offering dining, seasonal light displays, and special events as well as a classic green escape on Vancouver Island.
