Touffou usually refers to the Château de Touffou, a historic castle located in the commune of Bonnes in the Vienne department of western France, on a high terrace overlooking the River Vienne.

The site dates back to the 12th century and developed over several centuries, combining Romanesque, Gothic, and Renaissance architectural styles. Originally built as a fortified medieval stronghold, the castle was later transformed into a more elegant Renaissance residence by the Chasteigner family, who owned it for several centuries.

Its impressive keep, towers, terraces, and historic interiors reflect both its defensive past and its later role as a noble residence. The château is recognized as a French historic monument, and its gardens have been designated among France’s notable gardens. It is also known for its scenic setting, rich history, and association with advertising pioneer David Ogilvy, who purchased the property in 1966 and lived there until his death in 1999.

Today, Château de Touffou is considered one of the architectural and cultural landmarks of the Vienne region, admired for its well-preserved heritage and picturesque riverside location.
