Płock, Poland, Poland
Zamek Książąt Mazowieckich w Płocku, located in Płock, Poland, is a historic Gothic castle originally constructed in the early 14th century by Duke Bolesław II of Masovia and later expanded by King Casimir the Great.
It served as the residence of the Masovian dukes until 1495, after which it was repurposed and rebuilt by the Benedictine order in the 16th century. Today, only remnants survive, including the Clock Tower (Wieża Zegarowa), Noble Tower (Wieża Szlachecka), and a section of the original 2.5-meter-thick Gothic defensive wall, now integrated into the former Benedictine abbey buildings that house the Diocesan Museum.
