Zamek w Lublinie is a historic royal castle in Lublin, eastern Poland, originating as a 12th-century wooden-earth stronghold that evolved under Casimir the Great in the 14th century into a Gothic fortress with a Romanesque cylindrical donjon tower, defensive walls, residential buildings, and the iconic Chapel of the Holy Trinity featuring unique 1418 Ruthenian-Byzantine frescoes commissioned by Władysław Jagiełło.

Rebuilt around 1520 by Sigismund I the Old into a Renaissance residence with Italian architects adding a second royal storey, ornate entrance gate, fortified southern tower, and decorative attics, it served Jagiellonian kings before suffering fires and Swedish Deluge damage.

Replaced in 1826 by a neo-Gothic prison designed by Jan Stompf incorporating the chapel and tower—Poland's first purpose-built penitentiary—it functioned as such until 1954, then as a museum since 1957 preserving Gothic, Renaissance, and Byzantine elements amid its hilltop prominence.
