Aali Qapu Palace in Isfahan, Isfahan Province, Iran, is a six‑story imperial palace built in the early 17th century during the Safavid era by Shah Abbas I, standing on the western side of Naqsh‑e Jahan Square.

Originally conceived as a grand gateway to the royal palace complex, it later expanded into a full‑scale residence and courtly reception hall, serving as a high‑status space for royal audiences, ceremonies, and viewing events such as polo matches held in the square below. The palace is famous for its richly decorated interiors, including frescoed walls, painted ceilings, and intricate stucco and tile work, especially in the upper‑floor music hall designed with special acoustics.

Its elevated terrace, supported by slender wooden columns, offers sweeping views over the square and the city, making Aali Qapu both a key architectural link in the Naqsh‑e Jahan ensemble and a fine example of Safavid‑period urban palace design.
