The ABQ BioPark Botanic Garden in Albuquerque, New Mexico, opened in 1996 and covers 32 acres featuring themed exhibits that showcase plants native to the American Southwest and other arid regions worldwide.

It includes two large conservatories—one focusing on Mediterranean-climate plants from countries such as Spain, Turkey, and South Africa, and another showcasing xeric plants from North American deserts.

The garden offers diverse attractions like a Japanese garden with koi ponds, a 1920s-era farm area, a butterfly pavilion, and the unique BUGarium exhibit dedicated to bugs and arthropods. It serves as an educational and recreational space with over 1.5 miles of walking paths through formal and naturalistic gardens, welcoming visitors year-round.

The ABQ BioPark also hosts seasonal events such as concerts and winter light festivals, aiming to connect people with nature while promoting conservation and scientific research.
