Adventure Landing Jacksonville Beach
Jacksonville Beach, Florida, United States
Adventure Landing Jacksonville Beach in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, opened in 1995 as the first location of a family entertainment chain founded by Hank and Susan Woodburn, who transformed an 18-acre site with a $5 million investment into a pirate-themed hub featuring go-karts on a quarter-mile track, batting cages up to 70 mph, laser tag, an expansive arcade, mini-golf, and bumper boats.
Adjacent Shipwreck Island Waterpark added seasonal thrills like the 500,000-gallon Typhoon Lagoon wave pool, 720-foot Lil’ St. John’s lazy river, high-speed slides such as Undertow raft ride and Rage coaster, plus kid zones with splash areas and shaded cabanas.
Pay-per-ride pricing made it accessible for all ages with group events and upgrades over decades drawing millions, but the beloved spot permanently closed in late 2025 after 30 years due to the landlord redeveloping the land into apartments.
