The Alte Rheinbrücke is a historic wooden covered bridge spanning 135 meters across the Rhine River, connecting Vaduz in Liechtenstein with Sevelen in Switzerland. Built in 1901 to replace an earlier bridge from 1871, it is the last remaining wooden bridge over the Rhine. The bridge features a unique timber lattice structure known as the Howe system, combining wooden diagonal compression beams with vertical metal supports.

Originally designed for motorized traffic, since 1975 it has been reserved exclusively for pedestrians and cyclists, providing a peaceful and scenic crossing between the two countries. The bridge has been raised several times to cope with changing river levels and was extensively renovated in 2009–2010, preserving its historic charm.

Visitors enjoy walking or cycling across for lovely views of the Rhine and surrounding countryside, and the bridge stands as a symbol of regional heritage and peaceful connection.
