Arboretum of Arco - Former Archduke Park
Arco, Italy, Italy
The Arboretum of Arco, also known as the Former Archduke Park, is a historic botanical garden in Arco, near Lake Garda in Trentino.
It was created in the late 1800s by Archduke Albert of Habsburg as part of his villa grounds and later became a living plant museum managed by the natural science museum in Trento. The park contains more than 200 species of trees and shrubs from different parts of the world, including Mediterranean, subtropical, and North American plants, arranged along scenic paths with ponds and themed plant areas. Today it is a calm place to walk, learn about plants, and enjoy one of the mildest climates in northern Italy.
