Originally a farm, the site was transformed by Hutcheson into a carefully planned and artistically designed landscape that ingeniously incorporates natural elements such as rainwater collection systems.
The center offers visitors serene garden areas, walking trails, and educational tours highlighting Marian Hutcheson’s innovative work in landscape design and horticulture. It now serves as a public garden and educational venue maintained by the Morris County Park Commission, with restored gardens reflecting their 1945 appearance, hosting events and programs that foster appreciation for landscape architecture and environmental stewardship.
