Verified Bedrock Gardens

Lee, New Hampshire, United States

Bedrock Gardens is a 20-acre public garden on a 35-acre former dairy farm property in Lee, New Hampshire, transformed starting in 1987 by artists Jill Nooney and Bob Munger from abandoned scrubland into themed rooms blending landscape design, diverse horticulture, and whimsical sculptures crafted from repurposed farm tools.

Featuring elements like a formal white parterre, straight paths with native plants, a colorful garish garden, Japanese tea house, wildlife pond, and balanced stone towers amid woodlands and meadows, it offers guided tours, cultural events, and seasonal blooms from mid-May to mid-October.

The site's historic pre-1800 farmhouse and 1874 barn add rustic charm to vistas aligned along a 900-foot axis ending at thrones overlooking the landscape.
