Botanical Garden Munich-Nymphenburg, located north of Nymphenburg Palace in Munich, Germany, spans 21 hectares and cultivates around 19,600 plant species and subspecies across diverse outdoor sections and greenhouses.

Opened in 1914 to replace a smaller city-center garden, it features an alpine garden (Alpinum), arboretum, systematic garden by taxonomic families, rose collections, crop and medicinal plant areas, and a renowned Schmuckhof ornamental yard with tens of thousands of bulbs.

The 4,500 m² greenhouse complex showcases tropical regions with over 2,700 orchid species, bromeliads, cacti, ferns, cycads, and Mexican plants, while supporting research, education, and wildlife like wild bees, drawing over 350,000 visitors yearly. Its external Alpengarten auf dem Schachen station at 1,860 meters adds high-altitude collections, making it one of Europe's richest botanical sites.
