The Botanische Staatssammlung München (Bavarian State Collection of Botany) is a major scientific research center and herbarium in Munich, Germany, operated as part of the Staatliche Naturwissenschaftlichen Sammlungen Bayerns (SNSB), the State Natural Science Collections of Bavaria.

Located at Menzinger Straße 67 within the Botanischer Garten München-Nymphenburg area, it serves as a central facility for biodiversity research focused on plants and fungi. The collection holds approximately 3.2 million dried plant and fungal specimens in its systematically arranged herbarium (acronym M), making it the 20th largest herbarium worldwide among roughly 3,400 institutions, and this represents about 25% of the world's known plant species.

Researchers at the facility conduct taxonomic, floristic, and phylogenetic studies, with special focus on flowering plants from Europe, Southeast Asia, and South America, as well as fungi, lichens, and algae from around the world. Beyond its research activities, the Botanische Staatssammlung München functions as an international center for collecting and providing biodiversity data through scientific publications, loaning specimens for research, answering inquiries, and developing online information systems.
