Burg Bärenstein near Bühl in Germany's Black Forest is a medieval ruin on a granite outcrop above the Bühl Valley, likely built around 1200 as a hilltop fortress by the Lords of Windeck or related knights to guard trade routes and the local area, with its core layout still visible in ditches and stone remnants today.

First owners included the Clobelauch and Knobelauch families under Margrave Bernhard of Baden in the early 15th century, but it fell into disuse and destruction by 1598, as noted in local records, leaving scant traces amid the rugged terrain. 

The site now serves hikers as an accessible viewpoint with historical markers, distinct from Saxony's unrelated Schloss Bärenstein.
