Burg Clam is a medieval hilltop castle in Upper Austria, first recorded in the 12th century and still owned by the Clam family today. It began as a fortified stronghold and was gradually expanded over the centuries into a more comfortable noble residence, while keeping much of its historic defensive character. Today it is one of Austria’s best-preserved and longest-inhabited castles, known for its history, museum, and concert events.
