Burg Elmstein near the village of Elmstein in Germany's Palatinate Forest is a 12th-century spur castle ruin perched on a rocky spur at about 290 meters above the Speyerbach Valley, built as a defensive outpost amid the region's dense woodlands.

Featuring a prominent bergfried tower, neck ditch, and remnants of an outer bailey or zwinger wall that once shielded it from the valley below, it likely fell to destruction during the Thirty Years' War and now sits on private property owned by an architect dedicated to its preservation.

Visible from the village but accessible only in summer by prior arrangement due to its private status, the site reveals stone mason marks and decorations uncovered over time, blending seamlessly into forested hikes near nearby ruins like Breitenstein and Erfenstein.
