Burg, Rosenfeld
Rosenfeld, Germany, Germany
Burg Rosenfeld in Rosenfeld, Germany, was a medieval fortress and noble residence located at the southwest corner of the town's historic fortifications in the Altstadt district of the Zollernalbkreis in Baden-Württemberg.
Serving as the seat for the Lords of Rosenfeld, later the Lords of Frauenberg and Barons of Türk, the high building with a saddle roof and timber-framed tower was damaged by fire in 1684, repurposed as a brewery and inn after 1700, and fully demolished following a 1908 blaze, leaving no visible traces today.
Once central to the town's founding around 1250 under the Dukes of Teck—who sold it to Württemberg in 1317—it contributed to Rosenfeld's role as a fortified administrative hub on the Swabian Alb.
