Burg Walterstein was a rock castle built in the early 13th century by the Lords of Walterstein on a limestone cliff about 850 meters above sea level near Kolbingen in Baden-Württemberg, Germany.
It was destroyed around 1485, and today only traces of the castle's layout and rubble remain. The castle was strategically located on the edge of the Swabian Alb plateau and served as a fortified residence. Despite its destruction centuries ago, it remains a notable historical site with archaeological and topographic significance in the region.
