Burgruine Elsterberg is a medieval castle ruin located atop a hill overlooking the town of Elsterberg in Saxony, Germany.

Built around 1200 by the noble Lobdeburg family, it was one of the largest fortresses in the Vogtland region, occupying about 1.5 hectares. The castle features a double ring wall, five watchtowers, and a wide vaulted knight's hall with an outside staircase. It was a center of regional power and underwent destruction during the Vogtland War in 1354 but was rebuilt by 1366.

Later owners included the Margraves of Meißen and the von Bünau family. By the late 17th century, the castle was abandoned and gradually fell into ruin, with parts dismantled over time for building materials. It became municipal property in 1909, and since then, restoration efforts led by volunteers and the local government have helped preserve the remaining structures.

The ruins offer picturesque views and host cultural events, making it a cherished historic site in the area.
