Burgruine Körse is a medieval castle ruin atop a granite spur overlooking a Spree River meander in Kirschau, part of Schirgiswalde-Kirschau, Saxony, Germany, originally a Slavic fortress around the 10th century expanded into one of Upper Lusatia's largest and strongest stone castles between 1200 and 1250 to guard trade routes like the Bohemian Steig.

Conquered by German settlers around 1100 under Markgraf Wiprecht of Groitzsch, it marked the frontier of Budissin, Bohemia, and Meißen dioceses until the Oberlausitzer Sechsstädtebund stormed and destroyed it in 1352 on Emperor Charles IV's orders, likely due to its owner's road robbery, with a second raid in 1359 ensuring no rebuild.

Today, remnants include a 3-meter-high ring wall segment and a Vorburg gate arch, with artifacts displayed in a nearby museum opened in 1995 detailing Kirschau's growth from a poor village to an industrial textile hub.
