Camden Park
Huntington, United States
Camden Park in Huntington, West Virginia, is one of America's oldest amusement parks, opened in 1903 as a trolley park picnic grove by the Camden Interstate Railway and now spanning 26 acres as the state's only traditional amusement venue owned by the fourth-generation Boylin family.
It features over 30 rides including the classic wooden Big Dipper roller coaster from 1958, its smaller steel-and-wood sibling Little Dipper, vintage attractions like the carousel, The Whip, Tilt-A-Whirl, Paratrooper, Dodgem Cars, Scrambler, and a rare Pretzel Haunted House from the 1940s, plus modern additions like The Rattler pendulum and Slingshot spinning coaster.
Family areas offer Kiddie Land with nine rides for young children, West Virginia Adventure Golf mini-golf, swan pedal boats on Swan Lake, Aunt Dovey's Petting Farm, arcade games, shooting galleries, and a restaurant, with seasonal events from school trips to Halloween Spooktacular amid an historic Indian mound.
