Cantiere di Restauro Castello di Schisò refers to the ongoing restoration and conservation work at Castello di Schisò, a historic fortress overlooking the bay of Giardini Naxos in Sicily.

The castle’s origins date to the 13th and 14th centuries, and it was rebuilt in the 16th century with a watchtower to defend the coast against pirate raids, making it an important military and coastal landmark. Built on a prehistoric lava formation, the castle also served economic purposes, including housing a sugarcane-processing facility during the 16th century.

Over the centuries it was modified and expanded, with residential features such as balconies added in the 19th century. Today, the restoration project aims to preserve and recover this significant monument as part of the Naxos Taormina Archaeological Park. The work is helping safeguard a site that reflects the medieval, economic, and maritime history of the Giardini Naxos area.
