Gilbert, evolving into a family entertainment hub with dozens of rides including the Hydrus Euro-Fighter roller coaster, Sky Pod gondola, Mambo Madness scrambler, go-karts, mini-golf, arcade games, and boardwalk concessions despite surviving Hurricane Sandy in 2012 which destroyed parts of the pier.
Adjacent Breakwater Beach Waterpark, remodeled in 2003 from the original Water Works, features family-focused slides, a massive interactive play area, wave pool, lazy river, and toddler zones for cooling off on hot summer days.
