Verified Castello Cini Monselice

Monselice, Italy, Italy

Castello Cini Monselice is a remarkable historic castle complex located on the slopes of the Rocca Hill in the town of Monselice, Veneto.

Rather than being a single building, it is a group of structures developed between the 11th and 16th centuries, reflecting the evolution of the site from a medieval fortress into an elegant noble residence. The complex includes the Romanesque House, the Castelletto, the imposing Ezzelino Tower built in the 13th century, and the Marcello Palace added during Venetian rule.

Over the centuries, powerful families and rulers adapted the castle to changing military and residential needs. After a period of decline, Count Vittorio Cini restored the property in the 20th century, furnishing it with historical objects, artworks, and weapons to recreate its medieval and Renaissance atmosphere. Today, Castello Cini is one of the most important landmarks in the Euganean Hills area, valued for its architecture, preserved interiors, historic armory, and panoramic setting above the town of Monselice.
