Castello della Magione is a well-preserved medieval complex located near Poggibonsi in Tuscany along the historic Via Francigena pilgrimage route.

Dating back to the 11th century, it originally served as a lodging place and hospital for pilgrims traveling to Rome and later became an important Templar commandery. In 1140, the complex was entrusted to the Knights Templar, who used it as one of their key centers in the region. After the suppression of the Templar Order in 1312, it passed to the Knights Hospitaller and later underwent various changes in ownership and use over the centuries.

Today, Castello della Magione is admired for its Romanesque architecture, historic church of San Giovanni in Jerusalem, and strong connection to medieval pilgrimage and knightly history. Carefully restored, it remains one of the most significant surviving Templar-related sites in central Italy.
