Castello Della Rovere
Italy, Italy
Castello Della Rovere, commonly known as the Rocca Roveresca of Senigallia, is one of the most impressive Renaissance fortresses in Italy.
Built on the foundations of earlier Roman and medieval defenses, it was extensively redesigned in the late 15th century by Giovanni della Rovere with the help of renowned architects Luciano Laurana and Baccio Pontelli. The castle served both as a powerful military stronghold and an elegant noble residence, reflecting the prestige of the Della Rovere family.
Today, it is one of the most important landmarks in Senigallia, admired for its towers, bastions, moat, and well-preserved architecture, while also hosting exhibitions and cultural events.
