Castello di Arco is a medieval hilltop castle overlooking the town of Arco and the Sarca Valley in Trentino, northern Italy.

Perched on a dramatic rocky outcrop, it has dominated the surrounding landscape for centuries and served as the stronghold of the powerful Counts of Arco. Its origins date back at least to the early Middle Ages, with evidence suggesting it existed by around the year 1000. The castle played an important defensive role throughout its history, resisting numerous attacks before eventually being damaged and abandoned after a French siege in 1703 during the War of the Spanish Succession.

Over time it fell into ruin, but extensive restoration work begun in the late 20th century helped preserve its surviving structures. Today, visitors can explore its towers, walls, and medieval frescoes while enjoying spectacular views over the valley and nearby Lake Garda region. The castle is one of Trentino’s most recognizable landmarks and a symbol of the town of Arco.
