Castello di Barengo is a historic castle overlooking the village of Barengo in the Province of Novara, Piedmont.

The first records of a fortified settlement on the site date to the 14th century, when the local population moved closer to the hill for protection during a period of regional conflicts and instability. The castle largely took shape during the 15th century under the Tornielli family, who transformed the fortified site into a noble residence while maintaining its defensive character.

Built on a strategic hilltop, it was designed with walls, towers, and fortifications that helped safeguard the surrounding settlement. Over the centuries, the castle underwent restorations and modifications, but it remains one of the most distinctive landmarks in the area. Today, it is privately owned and admired for its picturesque appearance, medieval heritage, and commanding views over the surrounding plains and rice fields of Piedmont.
