Castello di Burgos, also known as the Castle of Goceano, is a medieval fortress perched on a granite peak above the village of Burgos in northern Sardinia.

Built in the early 12th century by the rulers of the Judicate of Torres, it was one of the island’s most important strongholds, strategically controlling the surrounding region and playing a key role in medieval power struggles. The castle is famous for its rich history, which includes noble families, battles, political intrigue.

The story of Adelasia of Torres, one of Sardinia’s last medieval rulers, who lived there during the final years of her life. Today, visitors can see its impressive ruins, including a tall central tower and defensive walls, while enjoying panoramic views over the Goceano countryside.
