Castello di Castiglione is a historic medieval castle located near the village of Cercina in Sesto Fiorentino, within the Metropolitan City of Florence, Tuscany.

The castle's origins date back to at least the 10th century and it was closely associated with the powerful Catellini da Castiglione family, from whom it took its name. Over the centuries, the fortress evolved from a defensive stronghold into a noble residence. Significant modifications during the 15th and 16th centuries added larger windows and residential features while preserving its historic character.

The castle is also linked to notable historical figures, including Saint Antoninus of Florence and Pope Leo X, who are recorded as having stayed there. Today, it remains an important example of Tuscany’s medieval heritage, reflecting the region’s long history of noble families, religious influence, and fortified architecture.
