Castello di Crenna is a historic castle located in the Crenna district of Gallarate, in Lombardy, northern Italy.

The fortress stands on a hill overlooking the area and has origins that likely date back to the Middle Ages, with documented references appearing as early as the 12th century. It became closely associated with the powerful Visconti family of Milan and played a role in the region’s medieval power struggles.

The castle was destroyed during conflicts involving the Visconti in 1336 and was later rebuilt. Today, parts of the original complex survive, including an elegant palace section, decorative battlements, and a distinctive circular tower constructed of stone and red brick. These features make it one of the most recognizable historic landmarks in the Gallarate area.

Although the castle is now privately owned and not a fully accessible museum, it remains an important symbol of Crenna’s history and heritage. Visitors can admire its exterior architecture and enjoy the historic atmosphere of the surrounding neighborhood, which preserves traces of its medieval past.
