Castello di Favria
Favria, Italy, Italy
Castello di Favria is a historic castle located in the center of Favria, in the Piedmont region of northern Italy.
Dating back to the 12th century, it originally served as a defensive stronghold for the Marquises of Montferrat and played an important role in protecting their territory. In the 15th century, the castle was strengthened and developed as a noble residence, and later the Solaro di Govone family transformed it into a more elegant estate surrounded by gardens and parkland. During the 19th century, it was renovated in a Neo-Renaissance style, giving it much of its current appearance.
