Castello di Magliano Alfieri is an elegant Baroque castle located in the village of Magliano Alfieri, in the Roero area of Piedmont.
Built in the second half of the 17th century by the powerful Alfieri family on the site of an earlier medieval fortress, it overlooks the Tanaro Valley and marks the boundary between the Langhe and Roero landscapes. The castle is closely linked to the famous Alfieri family and to Vittorio Alfieri, one of Italy’s greatest playwrights, through his family connections.
Its architecture combines imposing grandeur with refined Baroque design, and it includes a beautifully decorated noble chapel. Today, the castle serves as a cultural center and museum.
