Castello di Montauto is a historic medieval castle located on a hilltop near Anghiari in the Province of Arezzo, overlooking the boundary between the Casentino and Upper Tiber Valley.

Built between the late 12th century and early 13th century on the site of an older noble stronghold, it occupied a highly strategic position that made it one of the most important fortresses in the area. The castle was the seat of the Barbolani family, who ruled the surrounding territory for centuries.

Although modified during the Renaissance, the castle still retains much of its medieval character, including its imposing tower and fortified structure. Surrounded by forests and panoramic views, it remains one of the most notable historic landmarks in the Valtiberina region and is still owned by the Barbolani family.
