Castello di Montedomenichi is a medieval fortress ruin located in the hills near Cavriglia, in the province of Arezzo.

Built during the 13th century on or near an earlier Roman settlement, it occupied a strategic position along routes linking the Valdarno and Chianti regions, making it an important military outpost. Throughout the Middle Ages, the castle was involved in the long rivalry between Florence and Siena and passed through the hands of several noble families.

In 1483, the Florentines decided to demolish it to prevent it from being captured and used by their Sienese rivals. Today, only the ruins remain, including traces of walls, towers, and other defensive structures. Surrounded by forests and walking trails, the site is valued for its historical significance, natural setting, and the legends that have grown around it over the centuries.
