Castello di Oramala is a medieval hilltop fortress located in Val di Nizza, in the Oltrepò Pavese area of Lombardy.

Built around the 10th century on a rocky spur overlooking the Staffora Valley, it became the historic seat of the powerful Malaspina family and played an important role in controlling routes between northern Italy and the Ligurian coast. During the Middle Ages, the castle gained fame not only as a military stronghold but also as a cultural center that hosted Provençal troubadours and supported artistic and literary activity.

Its present appearance largely reflects 15th-century fortifications, including a distinctive semicircular tower and thick defensive walls built to withstand artillery. Today, Castello di Oramala is one of the most evocative landmarks of the region, admired for its rich history, medieval architecture, and panoramic views of the surrounding hills and valleys. Its connection to the Malaspina dynasty and local cultural traditions makes it a significant heritage site in northern Italy.
