Castello di Petroia is a medieval fortress near Gubbio in Umbria, Italy, with origins dating back to the 9th and 10th centuries. The castle was built as part of a defensive network by the independent town of Gubbio to protect its territories, first mentioned in a document from 1073.

Over the centuries, it was owned by notable families including the Montefeltro and Accomandugi, and it is famously known as the birthplace of Federico da Montefeltro, a prominent Renaissance Duke of Urbino. The castle sits on a hilltop overlooking the Chiascio valley and has been carefully restored to preserve its medieval architecture, including original wooden beams, stone arches, and period furnishings.

Today, it serves as a historic relais offering an authentic medieval atmosphere with breathtaking views of the surrounding Umbrian countryside between Gubbio, Perugia, and Assisi.
