Castello di Quirra is a medieval hilltop fortress located near Villaputzu in southeastern Sardinia.

Built in the 12th century by the rulers of Cagliari, it occupied a strategic position on Mount Cudias, allowing control of the surrounding coastline, inland routes, and nearby mining areas. Over the centuries, the castle passed from the Judges of Cagliari to the Pisans and later to the Crown of Aragon. It played an important role in regional conflicts and became associated with the powerful Carroz family, particularly.

The legendary noblewoman Violante Carroz, whose life inspired numerous local stories and legends. Today, only evocative ruins remain, including sections of walls, towers, and water cisterns.
