Castello di San Girolamo, also known as Castello di Quero or Castelnuovo, is a medieval fortress located along the Piave River in the town of Quero, Veneto.

Built between 1376 and 1379 by the Republic of Venice, it served as a strategic defensive stronghold and customs point protecting important routes through the valley. The castle is closely linked to Saint Jerome Emiliani (San Girolamo Emiliani), who served as its castellan and was imprisoned there during military conflicts in 1511.

According to tradition, his miraculous escape inspired the religious conversion that eventually led him to found the Somaschi order. Over the centuries, the fortress experienced wars, damage, and various uses, including as an inn and hotel. Restored by the Somaschi Fathers in the 20th century, it remains an important historical and spiritual landmark, admired for its riverside setting, distinctive towers, and connection to the life of Saint Jerome Emiliani.
