Castello di Stachilagi is a medieval fortress located near Marsiliana in the municipality of Manciano, in southern Tuscany.

Built during the 13th century on a hill overlooking the Elsa Valley, it developed around an earlier religious complex associated with the Abbey of the Three Fountains in Rome and later came under the influence of the Aldobrandeschi family. Throughout the Middle Ages, the castle was contested by powerful families and neighboring states, including the Baschi family, Orvieto, and the Republic of Siena.

It eventually became part of the Grand Duchy of Tuscany, after which its strategic importance declined and the site was gradually abandoned. Today, Castello di Stachilagi survives as an atmospheric ruin surrounded by dense vegetation. Visitors can still see sections of the defensive walls, a large brick tower, and traces of the nearby Abbey of Selva, offering a glimpse into the region’s medieval history and landscape.
