Castello di Todi is a historic fortress located in the countryside near Todi in Umbria, central Italy.

Its origins date back to Roman times, when a defensive tower was built to guard important routes and territories around the ancient settlement of Tuder, the predecessor of modern Todi. Between the 10th and 13th centuries, the site was expanded into a substantial medieval castle with towers, strong walls, and defensive features designed to withstand long sieges.

It played an important role during the conflicts between the Guelph and Ghibelline factions and controlled a strategic area along trade and pilgrimage routes. After its military importance declined, the fortress was transformed into a monastery and later passed through the hands of various noble families. Today, the restored castle stands as a remarkable example of Umbrian medieval architecture, combining centuries of history with scenic views of the surrounding hills and valleys.
