Castello Ducale is a ruined medieval hilltop castle overlooking the abandoned village of Pescosansonesco Vecchio in Abruzzo.

Its origins date back to the 10th century, when it was built by the Sansoneschi family as a strategic stronghold controlling the surrounding valleys and the territory known as the Terra Sansonesca. Over the centuries, the castle passed through the hands of several noble families, including the Cantelmo family, and remained an important local center of power.

However, it gradually declined and was already largely abandoned by the 18th century. Today, only ruins of the castle survive, perched above the historic settlement. Much of the structure was further damaged by earthquakes and landslides, particularly those that led to the abandonment of Pescosansonesco Vecchio in the 1930s.
