Castello Malgrà is a well-preserved medieval castle located in Rivarolo Canavese, in Italy’s Piedmont region.

Built between 1333 and 1336 by the Counts of San Martino, it originally served as a military fortress before gradually being transformed into an elegant noble residence. Over the centuries, the castle was expanded and embellished with frescoes, grand halls, and architectural features that reflected its changing role from defensive stronghold to aristocratic home.

A major restoration led by architect Alfredo d’Andrade in the late 19th century helped preserve its historic character. Since 1982, the castle has been owned by the municipality of Rivarolo Canavese and serves as a cultural venue hosting exhibitions, concerts, and events. Surrounded by a park and distinguished by its medieval tower and historic interiors, Castello Malgrà is one of the most important heritage landmarks in the Canavese area.
