Castello Nobili Vitelleschi
Italy, Italy
Castello Nobili Vitelleschi is a historic castle-residence in the medieval village of Labro, overlooking Lake Piediluco in the Lazio region.
Its origins are tied to the Nobili family, who established themselves in the area during the 10th century and built a fortified settlement to control the surrounding territory. After the destruction of the original fortress in the late 15th century, a noble residence was constructed along the surviving defensive walls, later becoming associated with the Vitelleschi family through marriage.
Still inhabited by descendants of the family, the castle preserves centuries of history, family archives, furnishings, and architectural features that reflect the noble heritage of Labro.
