The Castle Civic Tower in Acri, also known as the Tower of Pàdia or part of the Rocca dei Bruzii, is the most recognizable remnant of the town’s ancient castle and a symbol of Acri.

The original fortress is believed to have been built in ancient Bruttian times and later served as a Roman stronghold due to its strategic position overlooking the surrounding valleys. Most of the castle has disappeared over the centuries, but the surviving civic tower remains as a reminder of the larger defensive complex that once protected the historic center.
