Castle Evenburg Center for Horticulture is a historic water castle in the East Frisian town of Leer, Germany, located in the Loga district on the River Leda.

The original Evenburg was built as a moated Dutch‑classical castle between 1642 and 1650 and later expanded in the 19th century into a Neo‑Gothic country residence, eventually becoming a cultural and educational center focused on gardening and landscape design.

Today it functions as “Schloss Evenburg – Zentrum für Gartenkultur,” offering exhibitions and programs on horticulture, the history of East Frisian garden culture, and the work of notable local gardeners such as the rose breeder Ernst Pagels.

The castle sits within a large English‑landscape park of about 60,000 square meters, with winding paths, ponds, and tree‑lined avenues, and the grounds and castle spaces are used for guided tours, seasonal events, and visitor‑oriented garden education.
