The Castle of Serravalle, also known as Malaspina Castle, is a medieval fortress that dominates the hill above the colorful riverside town of Bosa in Sardinia.

Built by the powerful Malaspina family in the 13th century, it was designed to control the surrounding territory and the nearby Temo River, making it an important strategic stronghold. Over the centuries, the castle passed through the hands of different rulers, including the Arboreans and the Aragonese, who strengthened its defenses and used it as a military base.

Within the castle grounds stands the small Church of Nostra Signora de Sos Regnos Altos, famous for its rare 14th-century frescoes. Today, the Castle of Serravalle is one of Bosa’s most iconic landmarks. Visitors come to explore its ancient walls and towers while enjoying spectacular panoramic views of the town, the river valley, and the surrounding Sardinian landscape.
