Castle Park
California, United States
Castle Park in Riverside, California, opened in 1976 as a family entertainment center with a medieval castle theme, starting with a large arcade and miniature golf before expanding in 1985 to add classic rides designed by Bud Hurlbut, including a 1905 Dentzel carousel and the Saw Mill Plunge log flume.
Spanning 25 acres, it features over 30 attractions like the Merlin's Revenge junior roller coaster, looping Fireball, Dragons Tower drop ride, Tilt-a-Whirl, Scrambler, bumper cars, antique cars, Dragon Flyer, narrow-gauge Castle Park Railroad, and Buccaneer Cove water park with five slides, tunnels, and sprays.
Four themed 18-hole mini-golf courses, carnival games, a massive arcade, shaded picnic areas, and seasonal events like Castle Dark Halloween keep it family-friendly with pay-per-ride pricing, on-site dining from pizza to funnel cakes, and mascot Duke wandering the grounds.
